This is one of the best bike tracking softwares I know - great work. I get lots of errors when opening a gpx on my mobile phone though, unless I manually change the xml. Also, I can't get the desktop application to open any files at all (?) I notice there haven't been any updates for a long time - are there no plans to continue this project? Need any help in development?

Nice piece of software. Is there any way to change the storage location for maps and tracks. The HTC HD2 sucks on RAM and this data has to go to the SD Card, but I can see how to redirect it.

I's like to see support for vetor maps. Specifically I have Garmin Mapsource Topo maps and I'd like to use those with BikeDashboard. That would be a nice feature for trail riding.

What a brilliant app - tried it on saturday, and have just loaded it into google maps to share with my bike club. Absolutely awesome! The only problem is the keeping the screen on to use(which kills the battery) so I'm currently limited to about 4 hour rides... which isn't a bad thing!! Great work.

I have found a fix for the file not opening. It seems the time is not being written to the file in the correct format if your mobile device is set to GMT. This is what you see if the clock is NOT GMT: 2009-04-22T19:27:06+10:00 But if it is GMT: 2009-11-28T14:41:4900:00 [note the missing plus or minus sign. Mathieu could probably do a bug fix for when the time zone correction is zero. In the meantime - the easiest thing to do is set the mobile device time to a different time zone. Easiest might be a +12 hours one? If you have a file that won't open, do this: Rename the file as a .txt file. Then open with notepad. Replace all examples of 00:00, with this: +00:00 Save and rename the file back to a .gpx file. It will then open. Enjoy

Great software - thanks! I do get the same problem as Maurizio - I get an exception error on my HTC TytnII and on the desktop software when I try to open a workout .gpx file. Anything I can try to fix that? (The desktop software can open the sample Palm Beach file so I'm guessing it's the way the mobile progamme is writing the file?

I have not figured out in what format to enter the latitude/longitude in the map section of the desktop app. I have tried every combination I can think of (N 63° 25' 55", 63° 25' 55" N, N632555 etc) but always get "Incorrect Value for Top Left Latitude". I'm having trouble loading my map up on my phone (HTC Touch Diamond). The map loads up great in the desktop app, I set the coordinates successfully and save it to the library, but when I try and open the map on the device it throws a System.ArguementException that states "Value does not fall within the expected range." My map image is 1.25MB and is 1004x520, if that helps. Thanks!

Nice application, how about adding lap counting - Ie mark the start of a lap with key presswhen crossing the start line, and then incrementing the lap count when crossing a line 5m wide at 90 degrees to the direction of travel and at the point marked as the start point

I have just updated my Loox T810 from WM5 to WM6.1m which provides a much more reliable and stable GPS. Alas, due to the 240x240 px resolution I think I am unable to use anxy of the file-system related dialogs. Could we have a tiny icon (like the one to reset counters) that could be used to lock/unlock the screen ? I am running with my pda and when I touch the screen it is problematic as bikedashboard enters into the submenus and eventually exit. When locked only this tiny icon is active and can be clicked to unlock. Best Regards

Hey mate great program. A few things that would make it even better: - Start, Stop, Pause buttons - Graphs of Speed vs Distance and Altitude vs Distance - Ability to turn off the screen but continue logging. Then the battery will last a bit longer. - Satellite status screen. If it's taking a long time to lock then it's nice to see what's going on. Bike dashboard runs on my Treo 800w great until a phone call rings and then the screen locks up, you can't take or reject the call nor can you exit out to anything? Only a soft reset works. Otherwise a great application and the live map feature is really fun during the journey. Suggestion: On the map file menu the big buttons are great but you still need to use the skinny scroll bar to get down to "exit" How about a up/down wipe action to get down to exit?

Hi Mathieu, Been using V0.96 since you issued it. Great features, on desktop and PDA. There is still the issue of GPS runing when PDA if switched off, looses signal. There are times when the 17km trip to work only is registered as 2.4km etc. The 1sec recording features is great. Suggetion for additonal features are: * Screen resolution - will send a seperate e-mail to you with screen shoots * Ability for average speed etc to take into account stopped times (eg at trffic lights) Regards Gordon

For GPS detection go to 'Settings' -> 'System' -> 'External GPS' and make sure that it is setup correctly to manage GPS for you. worked for me.
